CHAPTER 1

THINGS PERTAINING TO THE RETURN OF CHRIST

There are many signs pointing to the imminent return of Christ but none so authoritative as Christ's painting of a scenario that must be duplicated shortly before his return.

Christ referred to the days of Noah and how the history of those days must repeat itself before his return.

Here are Christ's exact words concerning the days of Noah.

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:37

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

Matthew 24:38

A few verses earlier, Christ had talked about his return.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Matthew 24:29

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:30

These were the signs that would happen just before his return so it is safe to say that by the time the tribulation begins or more likely even before it begins, the days of Noah would already have begun to be enacted.

What was it about the day of Noah that prompted Christ to use it as a reference point?

If it were just the simple every day things of life like eating, drinking and marrying then why would Christ refer to such mundane events that happen every single day as a landmark event of his return?

This is what prompted me to dig deeper and this is what I discovered.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

Genesis 6:1

That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis 6:2

Firstly, there is a clear distinction between men, the daughters of men, and the sons of God.

We know that the word MEN stands for humanity in general and daughters of men stand for the women folk; but who were these sons of God?

To further clarify difference between these three categories of beings; making it abundantly clear that the sons of God were not men but a different species of beings, in verse 4 it says:

There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Genesis 6:4

This shows clearly that the sons of God could not have been men or why would the bible thus infer that men "came into the daughters of men" (in other words, mated with them?)

So we must seek other scriptures that use the phrase sons of God and by comparing scripture with scripture arrive at the meaning.

We know that the term 'sons of God' refers to angelic beings because we find the same term in the book of Job that speaks of their assembling together before God himself.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Job 1:6

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

Job 2:1

In both instances Satan (Lucifer) was present, intermingling with the angels of heaven, proving that not only was he not one of the fallen angels that came down to earth to mate with women, but also that the phrase sons of God at least during those early days on earth referred to angels, not men.

This was not an assembling together of fallen angels but of the angels in heaven, this also showing that even though Satan had been cast out of heaven, he still had access to heaven and could therefore assemble with the hosts of heaven.

So now we know we are dealing with fallen angels but we still have to find out how all of this is related to the return of Christ.

God destroyed the earth not just because the wickedness man was great as the next verse says:

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Genesis 6:5

And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.

Genesis 6:6

But also because Mankind had become corrupt.

And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Genesis 6:12

The Hebrew word for corrupt is kəˈrəpt and it means all of the following:

“corrupt, corruptible, perverse, naughty, sordid, rotten, rotting, stinking, corrupt, putrid, fetid”

WHAT HAD CORRUPTED ALL FLESH?

It was the hybrid relationship between fallen angels and mortal women.

But the experiments of fallen angels did not stop with mortal women.

There is an apocalyptic book called the book of Jasher which describes these things in greater detail.

Now before you go ahead and say the book of Jasher isn't scriptural, let me also be quick to say that it was studied by both the Old and New Testament saints.

The book of 2 Samuel validates it, mentioning it as though it were a familiar book.

(Also He bade them teach the children of Judah the use of the bow: behold, it is written in the book of Jasher.)

2 Samuel 1:18

The beauty of Israel is slain upon thy high places: how are the mighty fallen!

2 Samuel 1:19

So also does the book of Joshua:

And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

Joshua 10:13

Paul also referred to it when he mentioned the names of Jannes and Jambres for nowhere in the canonical scriptures will you find those names mentioned, but they are however mentioned in the book of Jasher.

And when they had gone Pharaoh sent for Balaam the magician and to Jannes and Jambres his sons, and to all the magicians and conjurors and counsellors which belonged to the king, and they all came and sat before the king.

Jasher 79:27

Paul mentioned those two names as though he expected his readers to be familiar with them as well as the source from where he got them.

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Timothy 3:7

Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

2 Timothy 3:8

Some argue that the modern-day book of Jasher was an 18th century forgery and yet the exact scriptural texts that referenced them are found to be accurate in the book of Jasher!

What we don't realize is that there was no bible in the days of Samuel, Joshua or Paul but this book was familiar to them. Several books have been removed from the bible for various reasons and by various religious bodies such as the Book of Enoch whose prophecy can be referenced in Jude 1:14.

But I have digressed quite a bit and must retrace my steps back to the reason why God decided to destroy ALL flesh - not just humanity!

We saw that there was a marriage relationship between women and fallen angels which resulted in the hybrid creation of giants; but it didn't stop there.

Again, the book of Jasher helps clarify things a little more, and though the account differs from the Genesis account in that no mention is made of the "sons of God" nor their mating with women; yet the hybrid experiments that the sons of men carried out must have been taught to them by an obviously more advanced race of beings, even our own modern day science of genetics and so forth are still cutting their teeth on what was common practice way back in the days of Noah!

Read for yourself and pause and reread verse 18.

16 And all the sons of men departed from the ways of the Lord in those days as they multiplied upon the face of the earth with sons and daughters, and they taught one another their evil practices and they continued sinning against the Lord.

17 And every man made unto himself a god, and they robbed and plundered every man his neighbor as well as his relative, and they corrupted the earth, and the earth was filled with violence.

18 And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals.

It would appear that their judges and rulers were possibly these fallen angels of Gen 6 because here in Jasher, they took their wives by force from their rightful husbands.

These two accounts of Genesis and Jasher are agreed on that score. The fallen angels (or sons of God) of Genesis 6 took wives they chose and the judges and rulers of Jasher did the same.

THEY TAUGHT THE MIXTURE OF ANIMALS OF ONE SPECIES WITH THE OTHER, in order to provoke the Lord.

WHO TAUGHT THEM???

How did they even KNOW to do what is considered to be advanced science in the 21st century back then in the days when their highest technology was probably bows and arrows???

This then was the extent of the corruption of all flesh that provoked the Lord into destroying all flesh.

THE DAYS OF NOAH HAVE ALREADY BEGUN!

CHAPTER 2

THE DAY OF THE LORD!

There are no less than 21 references to the day of the Lord throughout the bible. It is a theme that is both prophesied and taught in both the Old and New Testaments.

The problem is that we have the tendency to view things disjointedly; we assume that what was written in the Old may have different connotations in the New.

So we can either believe therefore that the day of the lord prophesied in the Old Testament is different from that which is taught in the New, or we can believe that there can only be ONE day of the Lord and therefore both the Old and New Testament allude to the SAME Day of the Lord.

It was Isaiah to whom the revelation of the day of the Lord was first given and therefore we need to pay close attention to his "introduction" to this dreadful and fearsome day.

Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.

Isaiah 2:10

What is he talking about here and is there a New Testament parallel?

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

Revelation 6:15

And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

Revelation 6:16

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Revelation 6:17

Isaiah continues to introduce the day of the Lord and finally in verse 12 he names the event he is speaking of as the Day of the Lord.

There appears to be some kind of cataclysmic event which Isaiah describes as things being brought down low including trees and mountains.

The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

Isaiah 2:11

For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and He shall be brought low:

Isaiah 2:12

And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,

Isaiah 2:13

And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,

Isaiah 2:14

And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,

Isaiah 2:15

And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when He ariseth to SHAKE TERRIBLY the earth.

Isaiah 2:19

So judging from the above verse, this cataclysmic event may be introduced by an earthquake.

In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

Isaiah 2:20

To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when He ariseth to SHAKE TERRIBLY the earth.

Isaiah 2:21

These words of prophecy are but an introduction to the nature of the day of the Lord, for Christ is coming to judge pride caused by power, materialism and blatant wealth all of which cause man to be lifted up in pride and arrogance.

As we saw in verse 20, all the idols of silver and gold (material wealth) that man has made for himself will suddenly be thrown to the miles and bats in the caves and holes into which they run and hide.

It is however in chapter 13 that Isaiah develops his theme more broadly.

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Isaiah 13:6

Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

Isaiah 13:7

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

Isaiah 13:8

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to LAY THE LAND DESOLATE: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Isaiah 13:9

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

Isaiah 13:10

In the history of the world, the event of the sun being darkened and the moon or stars not giving their light has never happened before. This is a picture of absolute WORLDWIDE darkness.

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Isaiah 13:11

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

Isaiah 13:6

To howl is to utter a loud, prolonged, mournful cry.

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and He shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

Isaiah 13:9

Isaiah keeps repeating himself about how the entire earth will be made desolate - completely barren as though uninhabited. But we know that this is because this will not be the same earth in Christ's millennial rule, for there will be new heavens (heavenly places above the earth); and a new earth.

Again, it was Isaiah that prophesied it but so did Peter.

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

Isaiah 65:17

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

Isaiah 66:22

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

2 Peter 3:13

So the reason for a new earth and heavens is because the former ones will be destroyed in the Day of the Lord. Remember that in that day, the powers of the heavens shall also be shaken and the stars shall fall from HEAVEN.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Matthew 24:29

Ezekiel furthermore describes the day of the Lord as a CLOUDY day.

For the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a CLOUDY day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

Ezekiel 30:3

This is our cue to remember how Christ describes his coming in the Gospels.

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming IN THE CLOUDS of heaven with power and great glory.

Matthew 24:30

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming IN THE CLOUDS of heaven.

Matthew 26:64

And then shall they see the Son of man coming IN THE CLOUDS with great power and glory.

Mark 13:26

And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming IN THE CLOUDS of heaven.

Mark 14:62

In all the above verses, Christ is coming in the clouds, as well as with GREAT POWER - a metaphor for huge armies.

It beggars the imagination to conceive of the volume of clouds that will attend our Lord and his armies as he returns.

Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come.

Joel 1:15

Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

Joel 2:1

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for He is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Joel 2:11

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.

Revelation 19:19

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the LORD come.

Joel 2:31

The above scripture was quoted by Peter at the birth of the Church.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE the great and notable day of the Lord come:

Acts 2:20

Peter reveals that the events of the sun turning into darkness and the moon not giving her light or turning blood red shall both precede the day of the Lord - the day of Christ's return to earth.

If Peter quoted it, then it is still in the future, for such a day is yet to happen since the birth of the Early Church.

Peter described Joel's words in connection with the birth of Church.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

Acts 2:16

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Acts 2:17

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: Acts 2:18

And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Acts 2:19

The Church clearly will play a tremendous role in preparing the world for Christ's return because he will pour out his Spirit in an unprecedented manner on them (IN THE LAST DAYS) and they will prophesy.

Prophecy is always a speaking forth concerning things that will come to pass in the future and here, Peter says this outpouring of the Spirit will happen in the last days, presumably just prior to the sun turning into darkness in the next verse.

So far, we haven't seen the Church as one Body prophesying the way Peter described it; in fact, prophecy is the least gift of the Spirit in exercise in the Modern Church.

What could possibly be the main thrust of their prophecies if not about the approaching day of the Lord? For just as Noah the RIGHTEOUS was commanded to preach about the coming destruction of his world, even so the RIGHTEOUS in these last days will also preach and prophesy about the coming destruction of their world.

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.

Joel 3:14

Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

Amos 5:18

Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Amos 5:20

There is nothing pleasant about the day of the Lord for it is a day of darkness both physically and spiritually.

For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

Obadiah 1:15

It is a day of destruction for the heathen, which includes professing believers who are NOT believers!

Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, He hath bid his guests.

Zephaniah 1:7

What is the sacrifice and who are the guests?

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

Revelation 19:17

That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

Revelation 19:18

The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.

Zephaniah 1:14

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

Zechariah 14:1

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

Acts 2:20

In the New Testament, Paul refers to the day of the Lord in the context of the Church separating themselves from any fornication.

It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

1 Corinthians 5:1

And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that He that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

1 Corinthians 5:2

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Corinthians 5:4

To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

1 Corinthians 5:5

The Early Church was not taking any chances, they also assumed that the day of Lord would happen in their time. Paul taught that by "disowning" such a person, he might be brought back to his senses and so be recovered into the body of Christ.

By this, his spirit would be saved in the day of the Lord. This obviously refers to the rapture that will happen almost simultaneously. It is our spirits that will be SAVED; meaning that will be the time when the final installment of SALVATION - our glorified bodies - will be clothed upon us.

This final installment of salvation is what Peter refers to here:

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in THE LAST TIME. (Meaning the last days).

1 Peter 1:5

For the RIGHTEOUS, the day of the Lord will be a day of rejoicing, not a day of fear or mourning.

As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your rejoicing, even as ye also are our's in the day of the Lord Jesus.

2 Corinthians 1:14

But that day will come unexpectedly, SUDDENLY and that is why the bible is full of warnings to WATCH and pray!

For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

1 Thessalonians 5:2

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

2 Peter 3:10

CHAPTER 3

THE RETURN OF THE FALLEN ANGELS
& THE CASTING DOWN OF LUCIFER

There are two groups of fallen angels: the ones who are presently imprisoned for the sin of taking on human flesh and mating with mortal women in the days of Noah; and those who currently occupy the heavenly places (possibly the starry constellations of our solar system).

The scriptural references for the above submissions are as follows:

That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis 6:2

For if God spared not the angels that SINNED, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

2 Peter 2:4

Their sin was in taking on human flesh and mating with women to produce gigantic offspring. If their sin had been merely the rebellion in heaven then surely ALL the fallen angels were guilty and all should have been incarcerated; but we find most of them in heavenly places as principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this age and wicked spirits in heavenly places, so this means that those who sinned were a much smaller group of fallen angels. Their sin was mating with mortal women – cross breeding to produce the hybrid race of giants. Humans mating with humans have never been known biblically or scientifically to produce giants the size of Goliath or the sons of Anak!

This is the first group, but the second group currently resides in heavenly places.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high (or heavenly) places.

Ephesians 6:12

It is to this group that we must direct our attention. They are not as yet located on earth but in the very near future, they will be dislodged from heavenly places and compelled to come to earth.

Lucifer currently directs the affairs of the earth from his heavenly location and all who follow the ways of the world are in obedience to him; serving his earthly idol regent - Mammon.

In which at one time you walked [habitually]. You were following the course and fashion of this world [were under the sway of the tendency of this present age], following the prince of the power of the air. [You were obedient to and under the control of] the [demon] spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience [the careless, the rebellious, and the unbelieving, who go against the purposes of God].

Among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves in the passions of our flesh [our behavior governed by our corrupt and sensual nature], obeying the impulses of the flesh and the thoughts of the mind [our cravings dictated by our senses and our dark imaginings].

We were then by nature children of [God's] wrath and heirs of [His] indignation, like the rest of mankind.

Ephesians 2:2-3 AMPC

For as long as Lucifer remains in heavenly places therefore, he can control the earth and not be subject to earth's time - space continuum.

But the day is coming when he will be forced out of heavenly places and cast down to earth when the bible records that he will have but a short time; but first we must examine why this has to be.

And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

Revelation 12:7

And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

Revelation 12:8

And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: He was CAST OUT INTO THE EARTH, and his angels were cast out with him.

Revelation 12:9

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, NOW IS COME SALVATION, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Revelation 12:10

You see; the above verses couldn't possibly be referring to the first heavenly war that happened before the creation of Man because firstly there was no need then for salvation! Mankind didn't even exist let alone need saving!

Secondly there were no "brethren" for the accuser to accuse since humanity hadn't even been created then.

So the above war is one that is yet to be fought and the reason is because without the casting down from heavenly places to the earth of these fallen angels and their prince, SALVATION (the final instalment of it, in the form of our resurrected bodies) cannot be administered.

What I am saying in effect is that SALVATION - THE RESURRECTED OR GLORIFIED BODIES - CANNOT HAPPEN TILL LUCIFER AND HIS FALLEN ANGELS BE FIRST CAST DOWN TO THE EARTH!

Now is come salvation! When is NOW? When Lucifer and the fallen angels are cast down.

[Born anew] into an inheritance which is beyond the reach of change and decay [imperishable], unsullied and unfading, reserved in heaven for you, Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God's power through [your] faith [TILL YOU FULLY INHERIT THAT FINAL] SALVATION THAT IS READY TO BE REVEALED [for you] in the last time. (This refers to some point in these last days).

1 Peter 1:4-5 AMPC

We are born again, but yet to receive the final instalment of our salvation which is the resurrected body.

In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit.

That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it – to the praise of His glory.

Ephesians 1:13-14 AMPC

For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

2 Corinthians 5:2

It is this final instalment of salvation that was alluded to in Revelation 12:10 - NOW IS COME SALVATION. When? After Lucifer and his fallen angels have been cast down to the earth!

What then is the connection between the casting down to the earth of Lucifer and the fallen angels on the one hand, and the rapture or resurrection on the other?

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only He who now letteth will let, until He be taken out of the way.

2 Thessalonians 2:7

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2 Thessalonians 2:8

The Strong's concordance renders verse 7 in relation to "He who now letteth..." as: "that which hinders, Antichrist from making his appearance."

In the light of the foregoing verses of scripture, it cannot possibly be the Holy Spirit who now hinders the appearance of the Antichrist and who now must be "taken out of the way".

1. The very phrase TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY suggests an obstruction; one who is preventing the appearance of the Antichrist on the stage of history.

2. Again the above phrase suggests a FORCEFUL REMOVAL of the one preventing the appearance of the Antichrist.

3. Clearly the verse in question refers to a single person not the collective body of Christ known as the Church, which same body is indirectly referred to as a SHE (not a HE) in Ephesians 5 where Paul paints the picture of a marriage relationship between husband and wife.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and He is the saviour of the body.

Ephesians 5:23

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

Ephesians 5:25

So the removal of the HE WHO NOW PREVENTS THE APPEARING OF THE ANTICHRIST is neither the Church nor the Holy Spirit seeing as how the Holy Spirit cannot be forced or taken out of the way by a third party as the verse suggests; for clearly in that verse, the intent is that he will not leave of his own freewill and therefore has to be TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY!

We must therefore consider a different option that has remained concealed for a long time.

Lucifer must be taken out of the way - out of the heavenly places before the Antichrist can appear on the stage of history for the following reasons.

The timeline for the appearance of the Antichrist coincides with the timeline when Lucifer is cast down to the earth.

When Lucifer is cast down, time begins counting down for him.

Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because He knoweth that HE HATH BUT A SHORT TIME.

Revelation 12:12

The time alluded to here is three and a half years - 42 months.

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Revelation 13:4

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him (the Antichrist: paraphrase mine) to continue forty and two months.

Revelation 13:5

Remember that in Revelation 12, the war in heaven is fought and Lucifer and his fallen angels are cast down to earth; but now in Revelation 13 we see Lucifer's emergence on earth's stage of history still addressed as the dragon who has just been cast down to earth.

This is the connection we've been missing! Antichrist is already on the scene before Lucifer is cast down to earth but he is not yet functioning as the Antichrist as we know him to be; he is functioning as a mere man, a man of peace who wins the heart of Israel by flatteries!

And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but He shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Daniel 11:21

At this time, the Antichrist is only just about to begin the second phase of his earthly ministry that will last for only three and a half years. Why is this?

Because in the first three and a half years, HE IS STILL AN ORDINARY

MAN WITH NO POWER! He can only pose as a man of peace and gain power by the flatteries of his mouth UNTIL LUCIFER IS CAST DOWN AND GIVES HIM POWER!

But something changes that is linked with the war in heaven in which we see some kind of role that the Antichrist plays in Lucifer's casting down and it is a very strange one!

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

Daniel 8:9

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

Daniel 8:10

This was a vision that Daniel saw in which a little horn became so great on earth that its power extended to the host of heaven and cast some of them down to the ground (earth).

Before we continue, here is what the Strong's concordance has to say about the phrase "host of heaven" in this particular verse.

Host - 1) that which goes forth, army, war, warfare, host

1a3) of sun, moon, and stars

1a4) of whole creation

1b) war, warfare, service, go out to war

1c) service

We know that it certainly wasn't the sun, moon and stars that were cast down because the bible never says anything about the sun or moon being cast down, only that they refuse to give their light; but we can see how Lucifer cast down a third of the stars of heaven.

And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

Revelation 12:3

And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Revelation 12:4

If you compare the above verse with Daniel 8:10 which we read previously, a picture of what is going on begins to emerge. For the purpose of clarity, let's put them side by side:

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

Daniel 8:10

This little horn is located ON THE EARTH from where it grows great till its influence reaches the hosts or armies of heaven - fallen angels - and casts some of them down along with some stars to the ground - earth. Now read Revelation 12:4

Revelation 12:4

Firstly, there is no doubt as to the identity of the little horn - it is the Antichrist.

Secondly there is no doubt that the events related in Daniel 8:10 and Revelation 12:4 refer to the same event – the casting down of the stars to the ground or earth - both of which are still in the future.

Thirdly if they are the same event then Lucifer already possesses the man known as Antichrist even before he is cast down to earth and therefore the Daniel account is merely to prove the possession of Antichrist's spirit at this particular point in time when his ministry is about to change from a peaceful one to a bloody one. Lucifer was ONE with Antichrist at the moment he was being cast down to the earth.

What Daniel sees in his vision concerning the Antichrist is already being enacted in the heavens by Lucifer, showing the nature of their symbiotic relationship. They have now become one and the same person.

However, even though Lucifer possesses Antichrist, he cannot give him power till he himself has "physically" been cast down to earth because his possession of Antichrist is as yet spiritual and not physical until he is cast down. Lucifer is in possession of Antichrist's spirit but not yet his body.

The power of the Antichrist is given to him directly by Lucifer AFTER HE IS CAST DOWN TO THE EARTH, NOT BEFORE; and therefore, he cannot begin his reign of terror as Antichrist.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2 Thessalonians 2:8

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2 Thessalonians 2:9

And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

Revelation 13:4

In the above verse, the dragon gives power to the beast (Antichrist) but remember that this happens AFTER the dragon (Lucifer) has been cast down to the earth.

In 2 Thessalonians 2:9, Antichrist is described as he whose coming or appearance or manifestation is AFTER the working of Satan (Lucifer).

The Strong's concordance gives the various shades of meaning of the word AFTER in the context of that verse as:

1) down from, through out

2) according to, toward, along

So, Antichrist's coming is "down from", "according to" and is "throughout" of Lucifer's making. Without Lucifer, Antichrist has no power.

So, it is evident that Antichrist derives his power from Lucifer and that power can only be manifested when Lucifer is cast down to earth and inhabits the physical body of Antichrist.

In the bible there is only one other instance in which Lucifer took possession of a man's body.

Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when He had dipped the sop, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

John 13:26

And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him,That thou doest, do quickly.

John 13:27

Now no man at the table knew for what intent He spoke this unto him.

John 13:28

No one knew that Christ was speaking to Lucifer and not Judas who was no longer conscious of himself since he had been possessed by "Someone" else.

It is in this same manner in which Lucifer will take possession of the Man known as Antichrist.

That the two persons will become synonymous with each other is revealed in Isaiah 14.

How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou CUT DOWN TO THE GROUND, which didst weaken the nations!

Isaiah 14:12

Again, the above verse is not a review of Lucifer's fall before time began but his fall when time is about to end. This is when he will be cast down to the earth by Michael and the hosts of heaven in Revelation 12.

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isaiah 14:13

The above verse reveals that he is already no longer in heaven or why would he aspire to ascend into heaven? He has been cast out already!

I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Isaiah 14:14

Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

Isaiah 14:15

They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, IS THIS THE MAN that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;

Isaiah 14:16

The above verse shows how he will so possess the body of Antichrist that he will not be differentiated from him - he is regarded as THE MAN who made the earth tremble and yet he was properly identified earlier as Lucifer (the fallen angel) in verse 12.

Is Lucifer now a man or is this not an allusion to the body of the Antichrist which he now possesses?

So to continue; Antichrist is given power and authority after Lucifer is cast down and possesses him because in the next verse, we see that he is GIVEN a mouth to speak great things and blasphemies; meaning that prior to the time he was GIVEN, he didn't and couldn't!

And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

Revelation 13:5

And He opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

Revelation 13:6

His power was given half way into the 7-year tribulation period, meaning that first three and a half years of peace comes to an end when Lucifer possesses his physical body to give him a MOUTH or authority to speak; as well as power.

And through his policy also He shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and He shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: He shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but He shall be broken without hand.

Daniel 8:25

This is phase one of the ministry of the Antichrist and it will last for three and a half years.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Revelation 13:7

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;

Daniel 7:21

This is phase two of his ministry.

Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Daniel 7:22

Yes, the fallen angels will return to earth after they have been cast down along with Lucifer their prince.

Then fallen angels and man will walk side by side as they once did in the days of Noah.

Many lying signs and wonders will be done by Antichrist with the help of these fallen angels so that if possible even the very elect; genuinely saved believers will be deceived.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Matthew 24:24

Behold, I have told you before.

Matthew 24:25

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, He is in the desert; go not forth: behold, He is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

Matthew 24:26

We have already been prepared for this very time, for these false christs and false prophets are nothing but men possessed by these fallen angels of whom we now watch on TV as the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Superman and many others.

They are men possessed with powers, except that these powers they exhibit belong to the supernatural beings that possess them. They will show GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS in those coming days.

CHAPTER 4

THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST

John the apostle is the one to whom it was given to teach the Church much about the nature and characteristics of the Antichrist. It is from John that we learn that there is a SPIRIT of Antichrist and the means by which it can be recognized or identified.

Surprisingly John reveals that in these last days, the first place to look for the Spirit of Antichrist is from among those whom we once called brethren but who have left us!

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1 John 2:18

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

1 John 2:19

They fell away from the Faith and left the body of Christ and as you well know, there is a great falling away called the Apostasy going on now in our days of which Paul wrote in 2 Thessalonians.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

2 Thessalonians 2:3

This same set of antichrists were also identified by Jude.

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. Jude 1:3

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jude 1:4

Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Jude 1:11

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, TWICE DEAD, plucked up by the roots;

Jude 1:12

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

Jude 1:13

Jude refers to them as being twice dead, and what else could that possibly mean if not that they were once born again and then died again? They join in the feasts of believers but are not a part of them in spirit. Paul refers to them as traitors, for they will betray Christ even as Judas Iscariot did.

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

2 Timothy 3:4

The verse does not say they hate God; they just love pleasures more than they love God. John even goes back to the very beginning of time to identify the first Spirit of Antichrist.

Not as Cain, who was of that WICKED ONE, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew He him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

1 John 3:12

This same group of people identified by Jude were said to have "gone in the way of Cain"; meaning that they shared the same spirit of Antichrist with Cain and towed his line - Cain the murderer! But who did they murder? Why Christ of course!

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Hebrews 6:4

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Hebrews 6:5

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Hebrews 6:6

They crucify him to themselves again and again! That's murder carried out in the heart. Who is this Wicked One of whom it is written Cain belonged to if not the spirit of Antichrist John has been talking about?

Later we shall identify and name this spirit of Antichrist. In Revelation, Christ identifies this same group of people as being neither hot nor cold; they are lukewarm "Christians".

Christ does not threaten to spew the cold ones out of his mouth but he does threaten the lukewarm ones. Why is that? Because the "cold" ones never belonged to him in the first place, but the lukewarm Christians are in his Body! They are "betrayers"; traitors.

And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

Revelation 3:14

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

Revelation 3:15

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Revelation 3:16

This is evidently the Church Age that characterizes believers of the last days and is attested to by 2 Thessalonians 2:3 which we read earlier. All these scriptures point to the fact that the greatest number of antichrists in these last days will be supposed believers who have either left the Faith totally, or are still posing as believers for now, for fear of being ostracized by friends and family.

In these last days, those whose spirits are already taken captive by the spirit of Antichrist in the Church will be characterized by their love of pleasure, sin and unrighteousness. They will be unable to receive the love of the truth.

It is one thing to receive the truth but quite another to receive the love of it. It is the love of truth that keeps one abiding in the love of Christ for the love of Christ is the love of truth.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

2 Thessalonians 2:8

Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2 Thessalonians 2:9

And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

2 Thessalonians 2:10

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

2 Thessalonians 2:11

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

2 Thessalonians 2:12

God does not send strong delusion to the already deluded unbelievers, but he sends it to those claiming to be His own. This is his just recompense or fitting judgement upon them. So now that they have refused to believe and love Christ The Truth, they must love and obey Antichrist The Lie.

CHAPTER 5

TYPES OF THE ANTICHRIST

So as we have seen in the previous chapter, there are several antichrists in the world today, controlled by Lucifer the prince of the power of the air through the systems and technologies of the world that he has put in place.

The power of the air is suggestive of every mode of communication that can be carried through the air or ether, including satellites, radio waves, electromagnetic waves. One physics website says:

"The waves that carry signals for the internet are the same kind of waves used for radio and TV. It is also the same kind of wave as for visible light, x-rays, and gamma rays. The difference between these waves is frequency and wavelength."

The prince of the power of the air is the controller of all waves transmitted through the air. This is how he conforms people into the image of the world - his world.

But there is a more specific category of antichrists who have played a greater and larger than life role on the stages of history as the embodiment of the Antichrist spirit, in other words unlike the other remotely controlled class of antichrists (through the power of the air); these ones have been possessed bodily by the spirit of Antichrist himself.

They are men who have ruled over world empires or were simply dictators over their nations and wreaked havoc upon God's people. Their agenda is always the same - the destruction of God's people.

NIMROD

He wanted to build a tower that would reach the heavens and would have done so had not the Lord come down to scatter his plans. Does this not reecho an expression of Lucifer's will?

For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

Isaiah 14:13

Who inspired Nimrod with the technology to build such an edifice that modern archeological expertise now calls skyscrapers? Nimrod as a ruler, laid the foundations of a one world government - the very thing that the last Antichrist will establish in these end times. He wanted to build one great, mega city in which the whole world of that time could live and he could rule.

He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.

Genesis 10:9

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

Genesis 10:10

It was by his command therefore that the building of the tower of babel was given in his kingdom of Shinar.

And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

Genesis 11:2

And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

Genesis 11:3

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

Genesis 11:4

The people under his rule wanted to make a name for themselves. They wanted fame; in other words they wanted to be "as gods"; larger than life, the same promise Lucifer made to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

The heart and essence of fame is to be singled out from among fellow human beings so that such a one is looked up to; to be admired, adored, - in other words, worshipped!

And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

Genesis 11:5

And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Genesis 11:6

God never had plans for humanity to be ONE or to all have the same language! He wanted them to fill the earth, not remain in one spot!

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; FILL THE EARTH and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Gen 1:28 NKJV

So God comes down to earth to confound their language since they have refused to obey divine command and spread out all over the earth.

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.

Genesis 11:7

So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Genesis 11:8

PHARAOH

It took 10 plagues to break him enough to release God's people Israel. He had turned them into slaves supervised by task masters. Pharaoh ruled the most powerful kingdom of his day. He is a type of the Antichrist because God says concerning him:

But for this very purpose have I let you live, that I might show you My power, and that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.

[Rom. 9:17-24.]

Since you are still exalting yourself [in haughty defiance] against My people by not letting them go,

Exodus 9:16-17 AMPC

Surely all the previous nine plagues that had been let loose on Egypt should have been enough to convince Pharaoh that he was dealing with an almighty God and not the same kind of petty little evil spirits that his magicians were used to conjuring!

But his heart was hardened by God himself so that God's mighty power might be declared throughout the earth. The defiance of Pharaoh in the face of divinity, coupled with his being singled out for this role appears to suggest that God wanted him to be a type and shadow of a far more fearful being that will one day walk the earth in a far greater measure of defiance of God.

NEBUCHADNEZZAR

Of all the biblical types of the Antichrist, he was the most striking. He ordered the setting up of a golden image which he commanded ALL NATIONS to bow down to and worship, or be thrown into the fiery furnace: Let’s read some of the story:

King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, sixty cubits high and six cubits wide, and set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon.

He then summoned the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials to come to the dedication of the image he had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials assembled for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.

Then the herald loudly proclaimed, “Nations and peoples of every language, this is what you are commanded to do:

As soon as you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music, you must fall down and worship the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

Whoever does not fall down and worship will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace.”

Therefore, as soon as they heard the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp and all kinds of music, all the nations and peoples of every language fell down and worshiped the image of gold that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

At this time some astrologers came forward and denounced the Jews.

They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, “May the king live forever!

Your Majesty has issued a decree that everyone who hears the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe and all kinds of music must fall down and worship the image of gold, and that whoever does not fall down and worship will be thrown into a blazing furnace.

Dan 3:1-11 NIV

Does this not remind you of the abomination of desolation that Christ spoke of in Matthew 24?

Matthew 24:15 Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand),

In Daniel this abomination has to be SET UP, revealing that just like Nebuchadnezzar's image; this prophecy will also take the form of an image.

And armed forces of his shall appear [in the holy land] and they shall pollute the sanctuary, the [spiritual] stronghold, and shall take away the continual [daily burnt offering]; and they shall SET UP [in the sanctuary] the abomination that astonishes and makes desolate.

Again, the following verse suggests that the abomination of desolation will be an image, for it will be set up to STAND in the Holy Place:

But when you see the abomination of desolation mentioned by Daniel the prophet STANDING where it ought not to be–[and] let the one who reads take notice and consider and understand and heed [this]–then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. [Dan. 9:27; 11:31; 12:11.]

Now, just as God used Pharaoh to make his power known in all the earth, in the same way did he also use Nebuchadnezzar; in fact, he called Nebuchadnezzar - king of Babylon his servant!

And now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the beasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.

Jeremiah 27:6 (KJV)

These Types and Shadows of the Antichrist are by no means limited to biblical times, for we could as well mention Nero, Antiochus Epiphanes or Adolf Hitler; but ultimately, they all foreshadow the terrible atrocities that will be committed by the last Antichrist, but alas only to far lesser degrees.

CHAPTER 6

THE ANTICHRIST

The coming of the Antichrist has been prophesied by nearly all the prophets of old, but none so prolifically as those given to Daniel, possibly because Daniel lived in the days of one of the Antichrist's greatest archetypes - Nebuchadnezzar - and was steadfast in his faith even in the face of death via the fiery furnace. It was a foreshadowing of the great tribulation.

The words of his colleagues - Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego will serve as a source of inspiration in that time of trouble that is to come.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

Daniel 3:16

If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

Daniel 3:17

But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Daniel 3:18

I will not start from the time Antichrist appears in history, but rather from the moment when Christ declares that the Great Tribulation will begin, and then retrace my steps to the beginning; to his appearance in history.

When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

Matthew 24:15

Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Matthew 24:16

Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

Matthew 24:17

Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Matthew 24:18

And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

Matthew 24:19

Before this, Christ had already warned of ongoing persecution:

Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

Matthew 24:9

And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

Matthew 24:10

So, the persecution noted above is not the Great Tribulation which is Antichrist's peculiar hatred for God's people in manifestation, rather it is a time when ALL NATIONS shall hate the people of God. This time of persecution is prior to when Christ warns all who live in Judea to flee.

This is probably why many Christians believe that this entire chapter refers only to the Jews and not the Church. One of the questions that the disciples (those we now call the Apostles of Christ today) asked Christ was - WHAT WILL BE THE SIGN OF YOUR COMING?

And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Matthew 24:3

His disciples did not know at that time about the coming birth of the Church, neither did Christ break it down for them; but that was because there was nothing to break down!

The issue wasn't what would be the sign of his first or second coming but simply what would be the sign of his coming. In their minds he was only going to return ONCE.

And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

Acts 1:10

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Acts 1:11

None of the Apostles taught that Christ would first come for the Church and then afterwards Israel. Israel and the Church became ONE people of God when Christ broke the middle wall of partitioning between them and made them one people.

The Church is now part of the commonwealth of Israel and there cannot therefore be two ‘Israels’; hence there is only ONE coming for the ONE

Israel of God; not for apostate Israel any more than Christ is not coming for an apostate Church!

That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Ephesians 2:12

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 2:13

For He is our peace, WHO HATH MADE BOTH ONE, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Ephesians 2:14

Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain ONE NEW MAN, so making peace;

Ephesians 2:15

And THAT HE MIGHT RECONCILE BOTH UNTO GOD IN ONE BODY BY THE CROSS, having slain the enmity thereby:

Ephesians 2:16

Again, Paul confirms all born again believers to be JEWS in Romans chapter 2.

For He is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Romans 2:28

But He is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Romans 2:29

THE CHURCH IS MADE UP OF JEWS!

So when Christ told those living in Judea to flee, it is because they were closest geographically to the presence of Antichrist who would later on persecute both natural Israel as well as the Church.

The alarm that Christ thus sounded originated from the prophecy given to Daniel.

And He shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week He shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations He shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Daniel 9:27

So at the point that Christ sounded the warning for all the people of God to flee Judea, Antichrist had already been visible and active for three and a half years; for the above scripture says he ratified the covenant or treaty with Israel for one week (seven years), and then IN THE MIDDLE OF IT he breaks it, forbidding the animal sacrifices that are intrinsic to Jewish worship.

The Darby translation of the above verse from Daniel chapter 9 makes it a little clearer:

And he shall confirm a covenant with the many for one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and because of the protection of abominations there shall be a desolator, even until that the consumption and what is determined shall be poured out upon the desolate.

The abominations or atrocities that will be committed in the Jewish temple in those days had to continue unhindered, hence they were protected by the desolator. We now know that the desolator is the one whom Paul describes in 2 Thessalonians:

Let not any one deceive you in any manner, because it will not be unless the apostasy have first come, and the man of sin have been revealed, the son of perdition; who opposes and exalts himself on high against all called God, or object of veneration; so that HE HIMSELF SITS DOWN IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD, SHOWING HIMSELF THAT HE IS GOD.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 DARBY

The Antichrist is the desolator, but there will still be an image set up in the Jewish temple - the image of the beast (Antichrist); whom people will worship just as they did in the days of Nebuchadnezzar.

And because of the signs (miracles) which he is allowed to perform in the presence of the [first] beast, he deceives those who inhabit the earth, commanding them to erect a statue (an image) in the likeness of the beast who was wounded by the [small] sword and still lived.

And he is permitted [also] to impart the breath of life into the beast's image, so that the statue of the beast could actually talk and cause to be put to death those who would not bow down and worship the image of the beast.

Revelation 13:14-15 AMPC

So, we see the difference between the abomination of desolation and the desolator or desecrator. Antichrist will sit posing as God in the temple and cause his image to be worshipped.

CHAPTER 7

JUDAS AND ANTICHRIST

It all started in the Garden of Eden after the serpent had caused Adam and Eve to fall.

And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3:15 NKJV

God placed enmity first between the woman and the serpent; and secondly between the woman's seed and the serpent's seed, but notice how God chooses to address the woman's seed. HE shall bruise your head (the serpent's head); while "you" (the serpent shall bruise HIS heel. Why did God refer to the seed of the Woman as HE rather than THEY?

God certainly was not speaking about natural snakes; he was speaking prophetically about what would happen from then on till the end of time.

It was more or less a declaration of war against the serpent (Lucifer).

His use of the singular word seed rather than seeds as pertaining to the Seed of the Woman reveals a single person who is intended - Christ. We see Paul teaching the Galatians with the same principle in mind.

Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, “And to seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” who is Christ.

Galatians 3:16 NKJV

The Seed therefore from the very beginning was Christ and therefore the Woman from the very beginning was Israel who gave birth to Christ. In another chapter we will explore the relationship between the Woman in Genesis and the Woman in Revelation.

If then Christ is the Seed of the Woman, who then can the Seed of the Serpent be but ANTICHRIST? Therefore, just as God sent his Son into the world to save, even so Lucifer shall send his Son into the world to destroy.

Some of the things I have discovered about the relationship between Judas and Antichrist may shock you, but like I always say; my studies are not meant to be taken for gospel doctrines. They are meant to encourage you to do your own studies.

If these things were written then we are meant to study them! The book of Revelation pronounces a blessing on both the reader and hearer of it.

Study to show yourself approved of God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth! 2 Tim 2:15.

I first became curious about this relationship when I discovered the following verses.

Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

John 6:70-71 NKJV

I wondered why Jesus would refer to Judas as a literal devil, so I referenced the scripture in the Strong's Hebrew/Greek Concordance.

The word devil used in that context is a "metaphor applied to a man who, by opposing the cause of God, may be said to act the part of the devil or to side with him."

There are only two Greek words, one for devil - DIAVOLOS, and one for demon - DAIMONAS. Yet Christ preferred to call Judas a devil and this was long before Lucifer entered Judas at the last supper.

So Judas was all along a devil - opposed to Christ from the very beginning of his walk with Christ. He wasn't a mere man; he was an evil man - a murderer and traitor possessed by Lucifer himself - certainly not any ordinary wicked spirit in heavenly places. I refer to the hierarchies or rankings of fallen angels and spirits as done by Paul in Ephesians 6.

Judas seemed to show some remorse to the point where he hung himself.

However later on as we shall see, it could not possibly have been Lucifer possessing him at the time of his demise, for whatever possessed him went to perdition. (John 17:12). Lucifer is not going into perdition just yet. This can only mean that Judas was possessed by another fallen angel. Later Paul will reveal that the rulers of the darkness of this world orchestrated the whole thing and therefore the likelihood that it could have been one of them.

Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was remorseful and brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood.”

And they said, “What is that to us? You see to it! ”

Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Matthew 27:3-5 NKJV

I began to look for other similarities between Judas and Antichrist. In John 17, Christ refers to Judas as THE SON OF PERDITION:

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

John 17:12 NKJV

In 2 Thessalonians, Paul again makes reference to THE SON OF

PERDITION!

Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 2 Thessalonians 2:3 NKJV

Are there more than ONE son of perdition? The Antichrist is clearly identified as THE Son of perdition, there is no other; so why is Judas referred to not as A son of perdition but as THE son of perdition?

The physical body housing the fallen angel is what is identified with the son of perdition in both cases. In Judas' case, it was probably a fallen angel; one of the rulers of the darkness of this age of whom we have read in a certain scripture that had they known the wisdom of God, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory though Lucifer entered him during the last supper.

Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”

John 13:26-27 NKJV

The ease with which Lucifer entered Judas obviously suggests that it wasn't his first time. Christ DELIBERATELY chose him as a disciple for this very reason. Judas was chosen because he was a "son" of Lucifer who only pretended to be Christ's friend and later betrayed him, just like the Antichrist will pretend to be the friend of Israel before betraying them.

Paul reveals that it was part of God's plan all along for Christ to be betrayed and crucified. That was why Judas was chosen. It wasn't just about his character traits of being a traitor and murderer, but that the RULERS OF THIS AGE (the hierarchies of fallen angels referred to earlier) equally had a plan and they invested heavily in Judas. Surely they wouldn't leave such a world shaking event such as the murder of the Son of God to chance?

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

I Corinthians 2:7-8 NKJV

It was the rulers of this age - rulers of the darkness of this world who crucified Christ.

So just as Christ said:

Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: “Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me.

Hebrews 10:5 NKJV

Even so, Judas was the body specially prepared as Lucifer's habitation.

The following verses refer to the relationship between Christ and Judas - a relationship of treachery and betrayal.

For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; Then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him.

But it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance.

We took sweet counsel together, And walked to the house of God in the throng.

Psalms 55:12-14 NKJV

Again, Peter mentions Judas as having gone to his own place.

And they prayed and said, “You, O Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which of these two You have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.”

Acts 1:24-25 NKJV

Then I discovered another scripture that talked about the beast (Antichrist) rising from the bottomless pit and making war against God's two Witnesses.

When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them. Revelation 11:7 NKJV

We already know that there are two "beasts" in Revelation: the dragon (Lucifer) and the beast (Antichrist) whom the dragon gave power and authority to.

Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.

Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.

Revelation 13:1-2 NKJV

Both the dragon and the beast have seven heads and ten horns.

Here is a description of the dragon:

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

Revelation 12:3 NKJV

We have already seen what the other beast (Antichrist) looks like in the Rev 13:1-2

There can be no doubt that the relationship between dragon and beast is like father and son. In Revelation 13:2, not only did the dragon give the beast power and authority; but also his THRONE!

This THRONE no doubt is the one Antichrist will sit on in the HOLIEST OF HOLIES - God's mercy seat, showing himself as God! Now, here is the verse that appears to tie in Judas with Antichrist. You will recall that we mentioned Peter stating that Judas had gone "to his own place".

You will also recall that in the entire bible only two persons are referred to as THE SON OF PERDITION - Judas (whom Jesus called a devil); and Antichrist.

So where did Judas actually go to? It wasn't Judas per se but the spirit or fallen angel that dwelt within him permanently that went to perdition. When Judas died, it couldn’t have been his own spirit that went into perdition because at that time, Perdition is the bottomless pit and until the day of judgment, no human soul will be found there. Lucifer only entered him briefly to personally supervise our Lord's betrayal.

But the heavens and the earth, which are NOW, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men

2 Peter3:7

Only fallen angels are currently inhabiting Perdition until the day of judgment, so it had to be a fallen angel who possessed him and went into perdition. This makes me wonder if Judas was more than a man and rather not a fallen angel in human form!

When Peter said Judas had gone “to his own place”; clearly, he was referring to Perdition – the Abyss or bottomless pit. I know it sounds fantastic, but there doesn’t seem to be any other explanation for this mysterious man called Judas whom Christ called a devil.

Christ certainly did not mean it as a metaphor like we use it today – “Oh that man is just the devil himself!” No, that wasn’t the sense in which Christ used the word devil; he wasn’t being humorous; he was dead serious about Judas being a devil – a high ranking ruler of the darkness of this age!

The fallen angel that will however inhabit Antichrist is referred to as a beast that once existed (in the flesh) and then died. This clearly speaks of a spirit that possessed a mortal body and at death returned "to his own place".

The beast that you saw was, and is not, and will ascend out of the bottomless pit and go to perdition. And those who dwell on the earth will marvel, whose names are not written in the Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 17:8 NKJV

We are told that ALL THOSE WHO DWELL ON THE EARTH WHOSE NAMES ARE NOT WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WILL MARVEL.

This tallies with Revelation 13.

Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And ALL THE WORLD MARVELED AND FOLLOWED THE BEAST.

Revelation 13:2-3 NKJV

Mortally wounded means fatally wounded. This is probably Antichrist's parody of Christ's resurrection. This beast is described in four stages: 1. He was, or once existed.

2. He is not - that is, he no longer exists.

3. He will ascend out of the bottomless pit (or abyss).

4. He will go INTO PERDITION.

Clearly if he once existed, it had to have been an existence in earthly history where people live and die; not in the spiritual realm where spirits can't die! This is why it appears that his first existence was in the possession of Judas.

Secondly, if he no longer exists does that not mean DEAD?

Thirdly, this same once alive and now dead "beast" shall once again ascend out of the bottomless pit to wage war against God's two Witnesses.

There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.

Revelation 17:10-11 NKJV

The beast that once existed and now doesn't is a king - a MORTAL king and when he comes he will continue for A SHORT TIME - seven years -

before returning to perdition. Clearly this is the Antichrist.

So Judas and Antichrist both share PERDITION together! There was a fallen angel that possessed Judas from the very beginning and upon Judas' death he left and went to perdition; but on the other hand, Antichrist will be possessed wholly by Lucifer.

So closely associated with this fallen angel was Judas that he was used to represent it - Judas has "gone to his own place ", and - Son of Perdition.

In his earthly walk, Christ had to have an adversary, a traitor and a murderer - Judas; just like the nation of Israel in the end times will equally have an adversary, a traitor and a murderer in the person of Antichrist.

CHAPTER 8

THE RISE OF ANTICHRIST

He does not come from nobility or a wealthy family, but like Christ he arises out of humble beginnings and gradually gains the support and trust of Israel. He is highly intelligent and versed in occultism. He will solve many of the world's problems which are currently being set up now for that very purpose, but this is only the first and peaceful stage.

The following scriptures are a summary of his rise and fall.

And in the latter time of their kingdom, When the transgressors have reached their fullness, A king shall arise, Having fierce features, Who understands sinister schemes.

His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power; He shall destroy fearfully, And shall prosper and thrive; He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.

Through his cunning He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;

And he shall exalt himself in his heart. He shall destroy many in their prosperity. He shall even rise against the Prince of princes; But he shall be broken without human means.

Daniel 8:23-25 NKJV

These verses reveal that at this point he is already a king - a world dictator whose power shall be mighty "but not by his own power".

By this time, Lucifer has already taken possession of the body of Antichrist, just as he once took possession of Judas - our Lord's betrayer; hence it is by the power of Lucifer that he becomes mighty.

Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon GAVE HIM HIS POWER, HIS THRONE, and GREAT AUTHORITY.

Revelation 13:2 NKJV

So, before Lucifer enters into him, he is but an ordinary man, without power. We must now turn our attention to his humble beginnings.

The rise of Antichrist begins at the point where he signs the seven-year treaty with Israel. All that comes before that is but his maneuvering, plotting, scheming and flatteries to ingratiate himself with the right people. He must do this by himself, for Lucifer has not yet arrived on the scene to empower him with his throne, power and authority as we saw in the previous chapter and the verse above. This then is how he first makes his earthly appearance known to men:

And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue.

Daniel 11:21 NKJV

He wasn't born a king even though he ends up as one, and he will seize the kingdom (Israel) not by force but by intrigue - dictionary meaning is to: "make secret plans to do something illicit or detrimental to someone."

The next verse describes some of the results of his intrigues, for the next verse tells of how his armies shall come in with the force of a flood and sweep away all whom he has been plotting against; including one who is referred to as the prince of the covenant.

With the force of a flood they shall be swept away from before him and be broken, and also the prince of the covenant.

Daniel 11:22 NKJV

This looks like a betrayal of the highest order for obviously a treaty (covenant) was signed here between Antichrist and this prince of the covenant (which title cannot be found anywhere else in scripture).

The Strong's concordance renders the meaning of the word prince in the context of this verse as: "leader, ruler, captain, prince, ruler, prince"

It appears that this prince was probably the chief partner and high ranking official with whom Antichrist signed the treaty and whom he eventually betrayed. We must not look at the word "covenant " here as though it refers to something holy seeing as how the Antichrist is involved; neither can the prince of the covenant be Jesus Christ, for he was crucified, not swept away by armies.

The next verse even breaks down the details of how this army of his originated.

And after the league is made with him he shall act deceitfully, for he shall come up and become strong with a small number of people.

Daniel 11:23 NKJV

The "league" is clearly the agreement or covenant spoken of in the previous verse. We see him acting deceitful by breaking the terms of the agreement. The reason he was emboldened to break the terms of the treaty is given: he became strong with a small number of people.

We shouldn't confuse this breaking of the treaty with the breaking of the seven-year treaty with Israel because clearly at this time, he is only just coming up with a "small number of people ".

He shall enter peaceably, even into the richest places of the province; and he shall do what his fathers have not done, nor his forefathers: he shall disperse among them the plunder, spoil, and riches; and he shall devise his plans against the strongholds, but only for a time.

Daniel 11:24 NKJV

Clearly in the above verse he is seen in the richest suburbs of Israel doing what his fathers nor fore fathers ever did; he bribes the powers that be with the loot he gained in his recent skirmish. He does this in order to gain a foothold amongst them. Yet he is continually plotting against them, even as they think he is on their side.

Scholars are very divided in their opinions of who the king of the south is, but if you read this entire chapter from the beginning, you will discover a series of wars between the king of the north and the king of the south and upon the demise of the king of the north, a tax collector somehow rises to power and mysteriously dies. It is at this point that Antichrist steps in and seizes the kingdom with a small number of people and thus becomes the new king of the north.

Let me give a few scriptures to prove this:

And the king of the South shall be moved with rage, and go out and fight with him, with the king of the North, who shall muster a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into the hand of his enemy.

When he has taken away the multitude, his heart will be lifted up; and he will cast down tens of thousands, but he will not prevail.

For the king of the North will return and muster a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come at the end of some years with a great army and much equipment.

Daniel 11:11-13 NKJV

The king of the north is first defeated but after some years he returns with an even greater army and much equipment and this time he defeats the king of the south. Apparently, the king of the south has several other enemies apart from the king of the south including powerful Jews who also want to exploit the war situation.

Now in those times many shall rise up against the king of the South. Also, violent men of your people shall exalt themselves in fulfillment of the vision, but they shall fall.

Daniel 11:14 NKJV

So finally the king of the north defeats the king of the south but in the end, he also will meet his match (please read the entire chapter).

So the king of the North shall come and build a siege mound, and take a fortified city; and the forces of the South shall not withstand him. Even his choice troops shall have no strength to resist.

Daniel 11:15 NKJV

This is where the king of the north finally meets his end:

Then he shall turn his face toward the fortress of his own land; but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.

Daniel 11:19

Another ruler who imposes heavy taxes shall then arise but only for a few days before he dies mysteriously.

There shall arise in his place one who imposes taxes on the glorious kingdom; but within a few days he shall be destroyed, but not in anger or in battle.

Daniel 11:20 NKJV

It is at this point that that "vile man" - Antichrist arises. Notice how his rise has been traced through the king of the north until he finally gets his opportunity.

And in his place shall arise a vile person, to whom they will not give the honor of royalty; but he shall come in peaceably, and seize the kingdom by intrigue.

Daniel 11:21 NKJV

During his first three years after gaining the trust of Israel, he will lay down policies that will cause the entire world to prosper and to be at peace.

Daniel 8:25

In the next chapter we shall look at the last three and a half years of his rule; the time we refer to as - The Great Tribulation!

CHAPTER 9

THE GREAT TRIBULATION

The seven-year period of Antichrist's reign is preceded by certain events that transpire in heavenly places - spiritual realms where time has no jurisdiction.

A sign or symbol appears in heaven portraying a pregnant woman ready to give birth, and a fiery red dragon waiting to devour the child that will be born.

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.

Revelation 12:1

We know that this must be the Woman of Genesis of whom we have discussed in a previous chapter. She is Israel that will give birth to the promised Seed - Jesus Christ.

You may wonder why this symbolism is coming so late in the day after so much has already happened, but this is because we were already told in the very first line that this scenario is a sign - a symbol; meaning not meant to be taken literally.

Also, the fact that the sign appears in the heavens shows that it has no relevance to time as we know it on earth. The earthly manifestation of its enactment in the heavens can therefore only be interpreted in the context of events on earth as they happen in real time, rather than chronologically - a sequential arrangement of events in time.

For example, Daniel's sixty-two weeks is not immediately followed by the week of years during which Antichrist will reign; there is a long intermining period of time before that happens which in fact we are still awaiting, centuries after the sixty-nine weeks were over.

The Woman is clothed with the sun, she stands on the moon and on her head is a garland of twelve stars. Elsewhere in scripture, the only other symbolism that fits this bill is from Joseph's dream.

And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.

Gen. 37:9

In the symbol above, there are only eleven stars because the twelfth is the narrator of the dream; the one to whom Israel, represented by the patriarch Jacob and his other sons would in future come to Egypt and bow down to during the famine that hit Israel.

So, all the sons of Jacob became the patriarchs of Israel. It is not commonly known however that what ought to be known as the tribe of Joseph was divided into the two half tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh.

Ephraim and Manasseh were the two sons of Joseph but Jacob as he was about to die, blessed them in the presence of Joseph and claimed them as his direct descendants.

And now your two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.

Your offspring whom you beget after them shall be yours; they will be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance.

Gen. 48:5 - 6

So the symbolism of the Woman is complete with the Woman being Israel; the garland of twelve stars being the twelve patriarchs (sons of Jacob).

They were all birthed by Jacob's two wives - Rachel and Leah, along with his two concubines - Zilpah and Bilhah.

An important part of this symbolism is in remembering that the name Israel was given to Jacob by the Man (or spiritual being) he wrestled with.

Jacob therefore is Israel which would include all his seed or descendants after him.

Joseph's dream was that the sun (Jacob his father; whom we now see in Revelation clothing the Woman); the moon (Rachel his mother; whom we see under the Woman's feet like a foundation or origin - womb from which they sprung forth - of Israel the Woman); and his brothers including his two sons each representing one half each of the tribe of Joseph.

So, he told it to his father and his brothers; and his father rebuked him and said to him, “What is this dream that you have dreamed? Shall your mother and I and your brothers indeed come to bow down to the earth before you?”

Genesis 37:10 NKJV

So, this explains the symbolism of the Woman. To continue with the sign or symbol in the heavens:

Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.

And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.

His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.

And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

Revelation 12:2-4 NKJV

This dragon is the same serpent who tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Isaiah prophesies that at the coming of the Lord at the time of the end, Christ will punish him.

For behold, the Lord comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain.

Isaiah 26:21 NKJV

In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.

Isaiah 27:1 NKJV

Thus, the dragon used his tail and drew down a third of the stars of heaven and drew them down to earth. In the first place if they were physical stars then it is hardly likely that Earth would survive such an impact from a third of the stars of heaven.

Science tells us that the closest star to earth is a red dwarf star known as Proxima Centauri. It has about 12% the mass of the sun and is about 14% the size of the sun; that's approximately 200,000 kilometres wide - just a little larger than the planet Jupiter. If this is just one star, imagine a third of all the physical stars falling to earth from heaven!

So again, the dragon was part of the symbolism in the heavens and therefore cannot be interpreted literally, including the stars that its tail drew down to earth.

These stars were fallen angels who are presently located in heavenly places as noted in Ephesians 6:12, but which shall be cast down to earth in Revelation 12:4.

On the other hand, stars are used in the bible as symbols or imagery for angels. In Job, we see the morning stars singing together and the sons of God shouting for joy.

When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

Job 38:7 NKJV

Christ is referred to as the morning star.

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Revelation 22:16

The angels of the seven churches of Asia are referred to as the seven stars.

The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands which you saw are the seven churches.

Revelation 1:20 NKJV

So clearly, the stars cast down to the earth by the dragon are his army of fallen angels. They are one third of the stars of heaven and by this we know that two thirds of the angels in heaven are still loyal to almighty God.

We must return back to our study of the sign that appeared in the heavens.

So far we have discovered the identities of the Woman, the Dragon, and the stars that were cast down by their leader. What of the male child that was born?

She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne.

Revelation 12:5 NKJV

He was a male child, but the KJV calls him a man child and from where arose the doctrine of the MANCHILD COMPANY - the saints who will be caught up to God's throne just before the great tribulation; in other words, the raptured saints.

But there is no such reference to a man child company in any part of the bible. Christ is referred to as the first fruits; there is no group of people that share in this status.

Then after the first fruits comes those who are his at his coming - THERE IS NO THIRD CATEGORY! His return this next time signals THE END OF THE AGE AND THE END OF TIME!

But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

I Corinthians 15:20 NKJV

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming. THEN COMES THE END, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.

I Corinthians 15:22-24 NKJV

The male child that was born in the sign in the heavens does not typify Christ's natural birth but rather his spiritual rebirth as the FIRST begotten son of the Father.

I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Psalms 2:7

If you study the whole of Psalm two, you will find it to be a picture of the great tribulation, the battle of Armageddon and the end. A New Testament verse which reechoes Psalm 2:7 will help clarify things greatly.

For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”?

But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.”

Hebrews 1:5-6 NKJV

These verses show that Christ's spiritual rebirth in resurrection from the dead was in focus and not his natural birth; but there is more.

First the writer says which of the angels did God ever acknowledge as his begotten son; then in verse 6 he says; "But when he AGAIN brings the firstborn into the world - a clear reference to his second and FINAL coming. The first born is Christ. Christ will return AGAIN as the above verse clearly indicates. So we see that the Male Child (that is, the firstborn resurrected Seed of Israel) that was born by the Woman - Israel, was the resurrected Christ ascending back to the Father and not a company of raptured saints otherwise known and taught as the man child company.

CHAPTER 10

THE GREAT TRIBULATION
PART 2

Thus far we have seen Christ the first fruits ascend into heaven in Revelation 12:5 which in earth's timeline translated to Christ's resurrection from the dead and his subsequent ascension to heaven.

We also saw that the dragon was unable to devour the Male Child and finally we saw him cast down his army of angels to the earth with his tail.

Then the Woman (Israel) fled into the wilderness where God had already prepared a place for her.

Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

Revelation 12:6 NKJV

This time frame - 1,260 days is approximately three and a half years; the same time frame in which the second half of the seven year reign of Antichrist in which he breaks his treaty with Israel begins.

We see Jesus directing them to where they should flee in Matthew 24.

Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place” (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

Matthew 24:15-16 NKJV

So as Israel flees into the mountains or wilderness as Revelation 12:6 says, the abomination of desolation is set up in the Holy place. We are already aware that this abomination is an image because Jesus points us to the book of Daniel for understanding.

And forces shall be mustered by him, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress; then they shall take away the daily sacrifices, and place there the abomination of desolation.

Daniel 11:31 NKJV

Right after this, though not necessarily in earth's sequence of time as we explained in the previous chapter, war breaks out in heavenly places between Michael and heaven's hosts and Lucifer and his army.

Notice that prior to this, Lucifer had already cast down his army to the earth, yet the war comes after his army is cast down; so this is another piece of evidence that the signs or symbols we are currently studying are not arranged in a time sequence.

Most probably, the war broke out first, Lucifer and his angels were defeated and then cast down to earth where as we shall see, he pursues the fleeing Woman - Israel.

And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer.

(Verse 8 above refers to heavenly places and not heaven itself from where they had already been cast out before the beginning of time.)

So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Revelation 12:7-9 NKJV

Daniel also speaks of this great battle in heavenly places.

At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who is found written in the book.

Daniel 12:1 NKJV

Michael stands up in battle to cast out Lucifer and his army from heavenly places, hence the fury of Lucifer at being cast down from his lofty position in heavenly places where time doesn't exist; provides the catalyst in ushering in the great tribulation.

At this point even though the great tribulation is only just commencing, a loud voice is heard uttering powerful words.

Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.

Revelation 12:10 -11 NKJV

The war is not limited to the heavenly war between the forces of Michael and Lucifer, for verse 11 above indicates that the brethren referred to in verse 10 will overcome him (Lucifer) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony and by not loving their lives unto death.

The brethren will find themselves embroiled in a spiritual battle against Lucifer who has possessed the body of Antichrist, to lose their Self lives and so gain the final instalment of salvation - their resurrection bodies, or lose eternal life forever!

The blood of the Lamb was shed for the purifying of our consciences. It is by the use of this blood in maintaining man's spirit free - not from sin - (which by now true believers must have overcome once and for all); but from all dead works; works that have no fruitfulness towards God and his Christ.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:14 NKJV

Remember how this same book of Revelation talks about us washing our robes in the blood of Jesus?

And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 7:14 NKJV

The robes of righteousness are therefore representative of our consciences. How we keep those robes pure is by walking according to the dictates of the blood washed conscience and not according to the dictates of the flesh. Both Peter and Paul taught us how to do this:

Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.

For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.

For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God.

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps:

I Peter 2:18-21 NKJV

The doing of good or righteousness in the face of suffering is commendable before God. In those fiery days of suffering, compromise in the face of suffering will not be acceptable before God; it will stain one's robe of righteousness - the purified conscience.

But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.

II Corinthians 4:2 NKJV

Only those who are able to live transparent lives in truth and righteousness even in the face of suffering for the faith will be counted worthy, for indeed the great tribulation is the time of the purification of God's people, that they may be found worthy of the kingdom for which they suffer.

In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory (when?) at the revelation (or appearing) of Jesus Christ,

I Peter 1:6-7 NKJV (Paraphrases mine).

So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.

Acts 5:41 NKJV

Which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer;

II Thessalonians 1:5 NKJV

Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Jude 1:3 NKJV

In every Church age, there was a purifying of the faith of the saints through some form of tribulation, but this final one is the most horrendous of all.

Moving on to Revelation 12:12...

The catalyst for the great tribulation is the wrath of Lucifer who having been cast down to earth, realizes that he is now subject to time and his time is pretty short.

It was for this reason that he will fight tooth and nail not to be thrown out of heavenly places so as to delay the inevitable end where he will be humiliated and punished by our Lord.

Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because HE KNOWS THAT HE HAS A SHORT TIME.”

Revelation 12:12 NKJV

Had he been able to maintain his place in the HEAVENLIES as prince of the power of the air, he would not have had time constraints as to the approaching time of the end. He isn't eager for the world - his world, to end and by remaining in heavenly places, he can delay his end for as long as he wants; but God has fixed the time limit for the existence of this present Luciferian world and therefore he has to be cast out of heavenly places to earth so that the time may be shortened.

For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.

Matthew 24:21-22 NKJV

It was shortened to three and a half years when Lucifer was cast out of heavenly places. You will recall that even before the beginning of the Great Tribulation itself, there was already tribulation and persecution of the saints!

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another.

Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Matthew 24:9-14 NKJV

The Great Tribulation certainly wouldn't have begun at that time, but the persecution of the saints by all nations would have begun.

The renewed preaching of the gospel of the kingdom in ALL the world is what sparks off the hatred of ALL nations against the saints.

We should note the difference between the persecution of the saints by all nations of the world, and the persecution of the saints by Antichrist himself.

For whereas the Great Tribulation is signaled by the abomination of desolation standing in the Holy Place which Christ told the Jews to look out for; the persecution of the saints by all nations of the world would have been in progress long before then.

Verse 14 says in effect that until the gospel of the kingdom has been preached in all the world, the end shall not come.

The end is signaled by the beginning of the Great Tribulation - the last three and a half years of earth's present existence.

The sufferings of the saints only increase many times over when the Great Tribulation begins. It is the reason why Christ says those days shall be shortened for the sake of the elect.

Some have pointed out that the ELECT are the Jews, but this is wrong.

The bible also refers to the Church as the ELECT.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;

Colossians 3:12 NKJV

What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Romans 11:7 NKJV

Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

I Peter 1:2 NKJV

So now you know what letteth, or hinders, or prevents the revealing of the Antichrist for who he really is; it is the casting down of Lucifer to the earth by force, for unless he is cast down to the earth, he cannot possess the body of Antichrist as he once possessed the body of Judas.

For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way.

II Thessalonians 2:7 NKJV

The Strong's concordance in this particular verse, interprets the word RESTRAINS as "that which hinders, Antichrist from making his appearance".

Some say it refers to the Holy Spirit and yet Christ says the Holy Spirit will be with us forever.

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever

John 14:16 NKJV

But let us for the sake of argument agree that the Holy Spirit is He that has to be taken out of the way; would that not also mean he is taken out of the tribulation saints as well, seeing as he dwells within people and not in the earth's atmosphere?

And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 7:14 NKJV

How will these come out of great tribulation with their robes washed and made white in the blood of the Lamb WITHOUT THE STRENGTHENING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT seeing as He has to be taken out of the way before the "rapture" can happen?

No, it is the Holy Spirit's presence on earth indwelling the saints that strengthens them with might, filling them with boldness in these last days.

That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man,

Ephesians 3:16 NKJV

Strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and longsuffering with joy;

Colossians 1:11 NKJV

The Holy Spirit is the power of God that will KEEP believers during these last days!

Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in THE LAST TIME.

I Peter 1:5 NKJV

So no, He who restrains the Antichrist from appearing is not the Holy Spirit; it is Lucifer unwilling to be cast down into the realm of time because he knows that from then on, HIS TIME IS SHORT!

CHAPTER 11

THE GREAT TRIBULATION
PART 3

After Lucifer and the fallen angels are cast down from heavenly places to the earth, Lucifer is very angry that the Male Child escaped him and we can feel his frustration through the words of Paul.

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, Which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

I Corinthians 2:6-8 NKJV

Lucifer played right into God's hands, for had he known that the wisdom of God was the resurrection of Christ which would in turn open the way for the resurrection of the saints, he would never have crucified Christ.

One important fact revealed in these verses is that these principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of this age were directly responsible for the crucifixion of our Lord; not mere mortals who were just the physical instruments of his crucifixion.

Lucifer hadn't expected Christ to rise from the dead. It was the reason why he stood guard over Israel after Christ had been buried. This is portrayed in Revelation 12 as the dragon standing before the Woman, waiting to devour the Male Child that would be born.

It was Lucifer who caused Christ's tomb to be sealed so that there was no possibility of his tomb being tampered with; and in addition to that, guards were placed at the tomb entrance. He used the chief priests and pharisees of Israel to achieve this.

On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate, saying, “Sir, we remember, while He was still alive, how that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise.’ Therefore command that the tomb be made secure until the third day, lest His disciples come by night and steal Him away, and say to the people, ‘He has risen from the dead.’ So the last deception will be worse than the first.” Pilate said to them, “You have a guard; go your way, make it as secure as you know how.” So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.

Matthew 27:62-66 NKJV

We know that there were definitely at least two guards there.

And the GUARDS shook for fear of him, and became like dead men.

Matthew 28:4 NKJV

But here is the important thing; it was an angel who rolled back the stone and caused an earthquake by his presence.

And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow.

Matthew 28:2-3 NKJV

Now don't quote me but I personally believe God sent his best to free Christ from the tomb, knowing that the dragon was waiting right there to devour him. Only Michael so far as we know from scriptures has the power to withstand Lucifer, (he was the one who chased him out of heaven in the beginning, and will be responsible for casting him down to earth) but like I said, don't quote me for you won't find it in scripture.

Suffice it to say that an angel rolled away the stone and must have played a role in keeping Lucifer at bay as he stood before the Woman - Israel, to devour the Male Child.

I just thought to chip this in so you can see the out working or reenactment on earth of the sign in the heavens that we saw in Revelation chapter 12.

So now to end chapter 12, we see the dragon (Lucifer) pursuing the fleeing Woman (Israel) into the wilderness. This time he is now referred to as a serpent - his true form on earth.

So he spews out a flood of water after her. The scriptures sometimes makes use of the imagery of a flood to portray an army; for example:

And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.

Daniel 11:22

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

Isaiah 59:19

The next example of a flood also pertains to an army but this time it is strikingly reminiscent of the casting down to the earth of Lucifer and his army!

Behold, the Lord hath a MIGHTY AND STRONG ONE, which as a tempest of hail and a destroying storm, as a flood of mighty waters overflowing, shall CAST DOWN TO THE EARTH with the hand.

Isaiah 28:2

This is not a mere reference to an ordinary hailstorm, rather it is referencing a mighty and strong one - a personage who from Revelation we now know to be Lucifer. He is this mighty and strong one that shall be cast down to the earth in Revelation 12.

Just a few verses later, the prophet Isaiah puts this informatONE be?

It will be in the day that the Lord shall be revealed to the remnant of his people as a diadem of beauty wearing a crown of glory at his coming after the great tribulation.

In that day shall the LORD of hosts be for a crown of glory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,

Isaiah 28:5

So the serpent (Lucifer) spews out a flood after the Woman.

So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood.

Revelation 12:15 NKJV

But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth.

Revelation 12:16 NKJV

We are not certain how the earth opened up its mouth and swallowed up the 'flood' and we do not care to speculate, but we will say that just as the early Church hid in caves and catacombs beneath the ground during their time of persecution; even so may we expect Israel to hide themselves from the pursuing armies of Antichrist.

Finally, in the last verse, Lucifer becomes furious with natural Israel for eluding his armies in the wilderness (though Christ refers to the wilderness as mountains in Matthew 24); and then goes after the rest of her offspring - the Church!

And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 12:17 NKJV

Some of the interpretations of the Strong's concordance concerning the word offspring (or seed as in the KJV) are the following:

"family, tribe, posterity"

So Lucifer now leaves off chasing after Israel who have gone into hiding in the mountains and instead goes after the rest of her family - the Church.

CHAPTER 12

THE MARK OF THE BEAST

There are things pertaining to this final generation which was seen two thousand years ago by John and had to be recorded with the descriptive language at his disposal then.

The beast will cause both the rich and the poor to receive his mark, his name, or his number.

He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Revelation 13:16-17 NKJV

There will be no exceptions or exemptions, suggesting that this is his final means of smoking out the true believers into the open, for only the faithful ones will not take the mark even in the face of extreme torture.

In that day, many genuine believers will become faint of heart, fearful of pain or death or both. They will take the mark out of fear even though they are aware it is the mark and in so doing they will lose their salvation finally and be damned forever.

Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,

He himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.

And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.”

Revelation 14:9-11 NKJV

If the mark of the beast is so damning, there must certainly be spiritual reasons why it is so.

It is a parody of our Lord's seal (the Holy Spirit) upon his own.

In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

Ephesians 1:13 NKJV

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:30 NKJV

Do you now see that the Holy Spirit is the mark or proof that we belong to Christ and is the evidence that will be looked for by the holy angels on the day of redemption, that is; the day of Christ's return?

Therefore, if one accepts the mark of the beast (whatever it is, and we will surely know when the time comes); it replaces the seal of the Holy Spirit.

Let me say that again loud and clear:

THE MARK OF THE BEAST WILL REPLACE THE SEAL OF THE SPIRIT!

Such a person has therefore lost his salvation. Such a one loved their life unto the death.

The Strong's concordance interpretes the mark of beast as the following:

1) a stamp, an imprinted mark

1a) of the mark stamped on the forehead or the right hand as the badge of the followers of the Antichrist

It looks to be some kind of tattoo but we can't be too certain just yet. John used the language of his day to describe events and things that didn't even exist in his time.

Nevertheless, the mark of the beast is clearly a mark proclaiming allegiance, fealty and loyalty to the beast - the Antichrist; and by proxy the one who possesses him - Lucifer.

This is the reason why believers should begin to take seriously their FAITHFULNESS to Christ. It is faithfulness that establishes the seal of God upon our lives and proves we belong to Christ.

Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.

I Corinthians 4:2 NKJV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, FAITHFULNESS

Galatians 5:22 NKJV

Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be FAITHFUL until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Revelation 2:10 NKJV

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matt 10:28

Faithfulness is the unflinching, unswerving and unwavering loyalty to Someone regardless of consequences or punishments.

The seal of the Holy Spirit therefore is a seal that marks a person as being FAITHFUL.

If one therefore takes the mark of the beast, one has declared his faithfulness to Lucifer. One is a follower of the devil; but better to die than become his follower!

It was faithfulness that caused the heroes of the book of Hebrews to stand firm. It wasn't that they didn't feel pain, but that they couldn't bear the thought of losing Christ!

Women received their dead raised to life again. Others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.

Still others had trial of mockings and scourgings, yes, and of chains and imprisonment.

They were stoned, they were sawn in two, were tempted, were slain with the sword.

They wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, tormented— of whom the world was not worthy. They wandered in deserts and mountains, in dens and caves of the earth.

Hebrews 11:35-38 NKJV

The end of all things is described in Revelation chapter 19. The beast, the kings of the earth and their armies including the fallen angels that were cast out of heavenly places to the earth; all principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world and wicked spirits in heavenly places will all be gathered on that day to make war against the Word of God! The Lord Christ! The King of kings! And yet again they shall be defeated for the very last time!

And I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.

Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.

And the rest were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.

Revelation 19:19-21 NKJV

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
