His Voice His Words

When God chooses to make his voice heard, we hear. When God chooses to speak to us, he uses words that are so simple and clear that a child can understand.

Signs and wonders are impressive. Earthquake, fire, and wind fill us with awe. But God is known to us only when we hear that voice from beyond, only when those shimmering words burn their way into our souls.

If we truly thirst for God, if we long to walk in his light, we need to focus on his voice, concentrate on his words. There is no other way.
